In today’s world, disaster recovery planning is a necessity. From acts of nature such as hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes and lightening to manmade disasters such as bombings, sabotage, and insider revenge, your business needs to be able to continue operations.
We will work with you to define the RPO (Recovery Point Objective) which is the amount of time since your last backup of data. This can be anywhere from instant (no loss) to any number the company is comfortable with such as 15 minutes, 1 hour or 4 hours. As a guide, the lower the RPO, the greater the cost due to the technology necessary to accomplish the incremental backups.
Our engineers will also work with you to define the RTO (Recovery Time Objective) which is the total amount of time the business is offline in a disaster. This can be anywhere from 1 minute to several hours. Again, the lower the RTO the higher the cost due to the technology and transport capabilities necessary to accomplish the recovery.
In addition to planning for major disasters, ICI Cyber will help ensure the little disasters don’t affect your business. Our engineers look for single points of failure such as single power supplies, no backups, single switching fabric, single phase power, single cooling elements or any other technology that is not highly available.
